Between light and shadows
Where can you find more light than in a desert with a blue and sunny sky!
During this trip in the Inner Mongolia desert, I discover what “harsh light” meant! There was no shadows no space to escape from the sun. As I mention in my earlier post dry landscape everywhere.
Then like appearing from nowhere these 2 little trees, growing in the sand. Demonstrating that life is the strongest, that where there is not apparent water, some organism are developing tricks to find it…
The cushiony look of the sand might be disguising the deadly reality of it.

I used my SL-2 with the 16mm to 35mm to really embrace the whole dune and highlit the immensity facing these little trees.
The SL-2 is weather sealed and is really resistant to water but also to sand, which was really a plus here as the wind is putting sand in every corner of your gears…
